Kristine & I stopped by here to grab brunch before heading to the San Diego Cake Show in Del Mar.
I heard about this place but never really paid attention to it. This Swami's is located at the beautiful downtown La Mesa. Parking is street parking and you pay on the meter. It's surrounded by other places to eat and to shop. Got here around brunch time on a Sunday. It's super busy. Line was long to go and order but didn't take long. I suggest you check the menu and start thinking on what you want so you're ready. They have different variety of choices from pancakes, waffles, french toast to omelettes, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, salads, seafood, veggie and etc. Different choices of juices, smoothies, coffee, ice or blended. Like I said it gets busy so you have to keep an eye out on seating areas because you seat yourself. Once you're seated they serve you your food. I got the stuffed french toast with strawberries and cream cheese and a aide of french fries. I do love my french fries! My bestfriend got the black bean egg breakfast burrito with that came with diced potatoes. My french toast tasted really good. It may not look a lot on the plate but it gets you real full quick. Oh and I got a kona mocha blended coffee (not picture) it was okay. Tasted any regular mocha drink. But this place felt homey. I love brunch places like these. It's decor defines it's own way notbing you can find anywhere.
